Whether you regularly play in the mountains, or simply have an interest in the management of Canada’s national parks, have your say and help Parks Canada plan for the future operation of the Sunshine Village Ski Area in Banff National Park.

Site Guidelines (a planning document) provide direction for the long-term operation of a ski area. Establishing Site Guidelines is a key step in managing ski areas in ways that respect their unique location in a national park.

Priority issues for the Sunshine Village Ski Area Site Guidelines include: identifying parameters to guide potential use and development, establishing permanent boundaries to growth, and providing clarity and predictability regarding the types of projects that can be considered should specific proposals be advanced in the future.

Public participation is important to ensure there are no gaps in information and to improve the Site Guidelines where possible. Your feedback will be used to inform the final versions of the Site Guidelines for the Sunshine Village Ski Area. Comments will be received until August 19, 2018.
